Essie, the number one nail polish selling brand known for it’s long lasting – “no chipping” and unique colors, is a choice of more than 7 million women across the globe as well as celebrities such as Rihanna, Oprah and Angelina Jolie – who have their personal favorite shades by Essie. The brand was found in New York City in 1981 by Essie Weingarten, which has now officially launched in beauty salons and clinics throughout Karachi brought to you by the very own L’oreal paris.

The decor, as well as desserts, at the event were kept in accordance with that of the color pallete of Essie nail colors, which are over 120, that have been launched in Pakistan, but has planned to an addition to the colors in the near future . “An Evening with Essie!” at Olivetto in Karachi on Wednesday 26th June, was attended by beauty experts, journalists, designers and celebrities. Namely; Director L’Oréal Pakistan Musharaf Hai, Sania Maskatiya and Ayesha-Somaya, Saba Ansari of Sabs, Shammal Qureshi of TONI&GUY, Meher Najeeb, Peng Qureshi, Redah Misbah of Depilex, Angie Marshall, Hina of Blush, Nida Rizki, Shaheen Raheem, Ruhana Iqbal, President of the Pakistan Hair and Beauty Association, Altaf, Mona J, Sehar Farrukh, Shaheen Saeed, Shehla Poonja and Ujala Zia of The Dressing Table; media personality Ayesha Omar along with members of the esteemed media. The event was managed by Anisa Rashid Khan and Amina Rashid Khan of RAKA withpublic relations handled at Lotus.
“With the launch of Essie, we will be creating and building a new category in our professional business. We will be investing in nail education and as always, will be the trend setters of high-end quality.” Said Musharraf Hai.
The event was started with a red carpet get together, followed by a presentation by Sadia Shah where she introduced Essie, and it’s properties. The guests were provided with a nail bar where they chose their favorite shades from Essie and had a little fun nail do!

The event was held at a restaurant in Karachi, having the guests a mouthwatering hi-tea, and plenty of desserts to choose from, by no other than the new cake queen in town, YUM by Amna.
