Elie Saab – Cannes Film Festival 2013

Elie Saab rocked it at the Cannes Film festival 2013. And, was actually one of my favorites’ at the event. From Bollywood stars – such as Aishwarya Rai to Hollywood celebs! Elie Saab proved to be a true hit.

Here is what of Elie Saab, I liked most at the festival. (PLEASE CLICK ON THE IMAGES TO VIEW THEM LARGER)

Clotilde Courau & Ashwariya Rai wear Elie Saab to Cannes Film Festival 2013.

Clotilde Courau wore Elie Saab Haute Couture Spring Summer 2013 to the Opening Ceremony of The 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival, whereas Aishwarya Rai wore ELIE SAAB Haute Couture Spring Summer 2013 to the premiere of ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’. I think both absolutely look stunning, and pulled off with their even more gorgeous dresses very elegantly.

Ludivine Sagnier wore Elie Saab to the Premiere of ‘Venus In Fur’ and looks very simple yet elegant in black. I love the bottom of her dress, although I do think that bright colored lips would have looked better, instead of plain old nudes with the dress, as it’s quite simple.

Ana Beatriz wore Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2013 to the De Grisogono event. She again, is looking very simple but gorgeous. The way that she has tied her hair back look quite decent and absolutely go with her white dress, that might have not looked to good with hair falling down. The green, clutch and earrings go very well with white. And a pop of red color lips pull together the tremendous look.

The one thing similar about both dresses is that they have a very thin belt in the middle. The minor details such as that are always worth a wear!

Alessandra Ambrosio wore Elie Saab Ready-to-Wear to the De Grisogono event. Love the color of her dress, it is also very much like the jumpsuits that are in fashion here in Pakistan. And again, the detailing of a belt in the middle looks perfect.

Petra Nemcova wore the Ready-to-Wear Fall Winter 2013-14 to the amFAR 20th Annual Cinema Against AIDS gala. I absolutely love the color blue, and the dress is to die for! A red Botegga Veneta capsule clutch would have pulled off the whole look very nicely. I still like the grey, as it matches the necklace/chain.

Fan Bingbing wore Elie Saab to almost all events at the festival, but these two are the ones I liked best. On the left she wears Elie Saab Haute Couture to the ‘Jeune & Jolie’ premiere. I personally love pastel colors, as they almost always bring out elegant summer looks. Her dress is flowly and very well carried. Her clutch as we can see is also one of Elie Saab’s collections. The jeweled gold plated piece is lined with Swarovski crystals and sealed with a precious pyramid shaped crystal. The evening bag is from the Fall Winter 2013-14 collection. However, it is not yet available on their website.

To the right – black! My ever favorite color. Fan wore Elie Saab Haute Couture to the ‘Bling Ring’ event hosted by Louis Vuitton. The dress is sort of a gown type thingy. Very lovely, and very unique.

Last calls for a comparison! The cocoon dress is actually my favorite from Elie Saab Haute Couture Spring Summer 2013. Dita Von Teese wore it to the premiere of Cleopatra where as Sonam wore it to the opening ceremony gala of The 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival. The cocoon dress is made of delicate lace and embroidered guipure. The Spring Summer 2013 piece is of Baroque influence.

To what my eyes see, the dress is a bit of a look alike of what Clotilde Courau wore, as we saw earlier. But just so better!

Both look more than stunning! But when there’s a teeny tiny difference, I would have to say that Sonam put together the whole look very well. Mainly, beacuse of her hair. Both carried it darned good! It is my favorite look from all of the above posts.

Elie Saab did a fantastic job! As always – of course!
